Kyoto® concept
A sound choice to protect the environment
S.Anselmo has always been committed to developing solutions which maintain the high quality of our relationship with the environment -
from every point of view, both functional and aesthetical. In order to achieve this, S.Anselmo constantly seeks to renew an age-old
tradition by means of technological innovation. Kyoto® is the outcome of this research, a technically exemplary answer to modern needs,
but without renouncing the well known elegance of S.Anselmo products.

Regulations
The formation of the holes in the "soft clay" product complies with the type of product with an irregular profile and ensures a diameter which complies with the standards to guarantee the compression strength of the joints.
Modularity
The structure of the distribution of the holes enables use of the bricks in a systematic manner due to the vertical continuity of the hole.
Anchorage
The presence of the system of holes adds various possibilities for an increase in the shapes and the means of anchoring the brickwork.
Insulation
If the hole is not used for reinforcement of the structure for earthquake resistance and structural strength purposes, it increases the insulation value of the brickwork due to the air space corresponding with the holes.

Thanks to their construction characteristics Kyoto® products need fewer raw materials, thereby reducing the atmospheric emissions for their extraction and transport. This is a significant advantage in terms of protection of the environment.

The manufacture of Kyoto® products requires a lower consumption of electricity, oil-based fuels and methane gas. There is consequently a considerable reduction in harmful atmospheric emissions.

Since they are lighter, Kyoto® products reduce the energy consumption for transport, but, at the same time, they also guarantee a better thermal efficiency, thereby further reducing the atmospheric emissions.

Even though the Kyoto® design is innovative, it keeps unchanged the particular style of fair-faced bricks, which are easily combined and available in the range of more than100 S.Anselmo finishes.

The holes at regular intervals in the Kyoto® bricks make them easy to reinforce, so they are suitable for use in earthquake resistant structures and many other applications, such as parapets, beams, pillars, reinforced rings etc.
